Behind the scenes: issue 8

Flicking through our office-made copy of the Christmas issue of Mollie Makes (out in just over a week, mark up Thursday November 24th in your diary!), we noticed that we've inadvertently included quite a few of these little guys.

It's no bad thing, of course. We adore a deer or two. Or 16. So we had an i-dear. Ahem...

Can you tell us how many of these majestic animals we included in the magazine? We'll give the first of you to get it right a little Christmas gift. That's cover-to-cover: Features, news stories, projects, adverts and all. Any repeating deer-patterned paper etc counts as just ONE - so we don't run into hundreds and give you all bad eyes. The prize, we've just decided, will be deer related. And beautiful, of course.

Win the fabric wallets featured in Mollie Makes!

Flip back to issue 5 (the sea-green one, with the 'homegrown' veg on the cover - yup, you got it), flick to page 82 and you'll see two rather scrumptious fabric wallets, made for us by the wonderful Lola Nova.

We have news readers! She's running a competition on her blog to win one (two winners will be drawn). What would you do if you won? Immediately discard your old wallet and transfer cards and cash over pronto? Put one in a lucky so-and-so's Christmas stocking? Or... study it intently to see exactly how she did it? That's not the competition question by the way... Click here to enter.
